📋 Description

• Lead initiatives to improve Elasticsearch search relevance and speed.
• Design and implement new search features; fix bugs.
• Contribute to vector search capabilities and Lucene integration.
• Work with a globally distributed team via email, GitHub, Zoom, and Slack.
• Own end-to-end projects, including algorithm/data-structure work when needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficient in idiomatic modern Java and concurrency.
• Deep experience with Elasticsearch, Lucene, and search relevance.
• Familiar with vector search algorithms (HNSW, IVF) and indexing.
• Worked with storage tech: Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.
• Strong data structures knowledge; ability to invent new algorithms.
• Autonomous, able to own features from design to delivery.
• Comfortable collaborating asynchronously across distributed teams.
