Senior Software Engineer, Security

📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate Harvey's core security services across workforce and production.
• Own identity infrastructure end-to-end, including SSO, SCIM, and fine-grained authorization.
• Build secure-by-default libraries and self-service tooling for engineers.
• Take systems from greenfield to production-grade: architecture, shipping, instrumentation, reliability.
• Contribute to incident response and drive mitigation when security issues surface.
• Raise the security bar through design and code reviews and mentorship.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering, shipping & operating production services.
• Hands-on security infra: IAM, authn/authz, secrets, or privileged access.
• Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and attacker-focused failure analysis.
• Strong programming skills; comfortable across the stack.
• Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, or similar).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP, or AWS) and distributed patterns.
• Ability to translate security requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
• Strong communication; able to influence teams without formal authority.
