Senior Software Engineer, Service Mesh

📋 Description

• Design and build service mesh across hybrid Kubernetes/Nomad environments.
• Integrate service mesh with Kubernetes: sidecars, mTLS, policies, observability.
• Build networking for Cloud Bursting: burst from on-prem to cloud with routing.
• Partner with internal teams to ease connectivity pain and pave road for devs.
• Collaborate with Gateway and CNI teams for a unified multi-cluster fabric.
• Serve as escalation point for complex service mesh issues.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in distributed systems with service mesh tech (Istio/Envoy/Consul/Linkerd).
• Deep knowledge of traffic management, service discovery, mTLS, observability, routing.
• Production Kubernetes experience; familiar with the K8s networking model.
• Comfortable with Envoy proxy internals, xDS, and control planes.
• Designs large-scale distributed systems across clusters and regions.
• Proficient in Go, C/C++, or Rust.
