Senior Software Engineer, Streaming

📋 Description

• Architect and evolve Attentive's event streaming platform for high-throughput, low-latency messaging.
• Build self-service tooling for observability, debugging, and load testing.
• Simplify streaming architecture and enable direct access for power users.
• Improve event delivery reliability, cost efficiency, and system integration.
• Champion best practices and technology selection for streaming.
• Collaborate with product, data, and infrastructure teams to launch scalable features.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years experience architecting high-throughput distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of Kafka, Flink, Pulsar, and/or Spark.
• Proficient in Java (Spring Boot) and modern OO design.
• Able to debug across the stack from serialization to JVM tuning.
• Familiar with resource scheduling, data locality, and infra cost impacts.
• Observability tooling (tracing, metrics, replay) and IaC with Terraform/Helm; Kubernetes.
