Senior Software Engineer - Video Performance

📋 Description

• Own performance across the whole video creation lifecycle: template load, media import, timeline
• Define the performance metrics and service level objectives for Video.
• Build telemetry, tracing, dashboards and alerting for video performance.
• Build profiling and benchmarking tooling.
• Ship measurable improvements to latency, frame stability, memory and battery life.
• Work with Native Video Engine, on-device ML and Editing teams to rework hot paths.

🎯 Requirements

• C++ or other systems language (e.g., Rust) for optimizing critical paths in native engines.
• Experience with graphics APIs (OpenGL, Metal, Vulkan, WebGPU).
• Proven track record of making real systems measurably faster.
• Ability to move between product code, backend services and native/platform layers.
• Experience building performance tooling (profilers, tracing, benchmarking).
• Proficiency with tools like Perf, Instruments, Perfetto, Android Studio Profiler, Chrome DevTools.
