10+ years of experience across data engineering, data infrastructure, or analytics platform work
Hands-on data engineering or infrastructure experience before management
Production experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake), workflow orchestration
Depth in data modeling (fact and dimension tables, raw/core/mart separation, semantic layers)
Record of setting team's roadmap from company strategy
Operational excellence (alerting, SLAs, incident management)
