Senior Staff Engineer - Infrastructure Software

📋 Description

• Act as technical owner and architect for Infra-Dev's major platforms: the cloud operations and cost
• Lead the design and delivery of multi-quarter initiatives such as containerising services onto
• Decide the methods, tools and standards for new assignments, including build-vs-buy evaluations
• Lead cloud cost management (FinOps) engineering: cost allocation and unit economics (for example
• Act as a technical point of contact for Finance and cloud vendors (AWS account and TAM teams
• Own the architecture of data lifecycle and storage-cost programs for petabyte-scale S3 data

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including significant experience building
• Expert programming skills in Python and/or Go, with a strong record of production-quality code and
• Deep, hands-on AWS expertise across compute, networking, IAM, storage, databases, messaging and
• Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and the cloud-native ecosystem: Helm, Argo CD, Crossplane
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Terragrunt or equivalent) and designing
