Senior Staff Engineer - Tax Platform Engineering

📋 Description

• Design, build, and test the tax platform for millions of users
• Scale one of the largest Ruby on Rails and TypeScript/React apps
• Collaborate on complex, ambiguous problems with cross-functional teams
• Build guardrails to safely leverage AI in the Tax platform
• Own and drive the technical strategy and roadmap for your domain
• Mentor and develop engineers via code reviews and knowledge sharing

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience
• Designing and developing distributed systems with multiple languages
• Guiding multiple teams on scaling, refactoring, and optimizing legacy products
• Architecting, building, and testing large-scale production code
• Communicating technical complexity and facilitating tradeoffs
• Collaborative, test-driven development mindset
• Bonus: Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, and React experience
• Familiar with AI tools (LLMs and agents) and embedding AI in workflow
