Senior Staff Hardware Engineer, Sensor Architecture

📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end sensor system architecture for aircraft and ground ops.
• Lead cross-functional trade studies across hardware, software, and manufacturing.
• Evaluate and integrate sensor components under SWaP-C constraints.
• Develop mathematical models, error budgets, and link budgets for design.
• Create calibration/validation protocols for diverse environments.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and partners on scalable QA/test systems.
• Identify and prototype new sensor technologies for autonomous flight.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years in sensor architecture or hardware systems.
• Experience taking subsystems from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience in RF tech (UWB, LTE, WiFi, ADS-B).
• Mastery in at least two sensor modalities (vision, LiDAR, radar, IMU, GNSS/GPS).
• Ability to build mathematical performance models and error budgets.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or related field.
