Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer - Clinical - Applied AI & LLMs (x/f/m)

📋 Description

• Lead the long-term technical roadmap for clinical ML systems.
• Drive build vs. buy decisions with foundation model APIs.
• Define safe rollout standards: shadow testing, staged deployment, HITL.
• Lead LLM-powered clinical agents: summaries, coding, recommendations.
• Establish robust evaluation, real-world datasets, safety and accuracy.
• Build production infra: versioning, guardrails, observability, cost.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in ML/AI with 3+ years at Staff+ or Principal leading multi-team initiatives.
• PhD in CS, AI, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Deep expertise in two: clinical NLP, LLM fine-tuning/evaluation, ASR, RAG, or RL.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/Transformers; vLLM for inference; AWS/GCP.
• Exceptional communication; able to align stakeholders and explain decisions.
• Experience with EU regulations (GDPR, MDR, AI Act) and healthcare data.
