Senior Staff Performance Engineer, Firefox

📋 Description

• Write code and tests, build prototypes, profile and analyze performance bottlenecks
• Learn about a wide variety of problems across a large, evolving codebase
• Use languages such as C++, JavaScript, Kotlin, Rust, Python to fix perf issues
• Educate engineers on writing faster code via reviews, talks, tooling, docs
• Define and drive actionable next steps from high level objectives
• Collaborate with teams to lead performance efforts

🎯 Requirements

• BS/MS in CS/CE and 7+ years relevant experience
• Mastered C++ and understanding of JavaScript
• Proven performance-critical software development experience
• Experimental mindset: measure, diagnose, and prove solutions via experiments
• Strong debugging and profiling skills (VTune, Xperf, etc.)
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, I/O, GPU
