Senior Staff R&D Software Engineer, Fivetran AI

📋 Description

• Identify emerging AI research; set the Fivetran AI roadmap.
• Prototype ideas quickly and ship production-grade features.
• Define technical direction across Fivetran AI and collaborators.
• Build and maintain back-end and front-end systems for the AI product.
• Own production reliability; on-call rotation and incident response.
• Mentor staff and engineers; influence cross‑department decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in Python and/or Java; capable on back-end and front-end.
• SQL and data warehouses experience (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Proficient with dbt, LLMs, and vector databases.
• Experience with MCP protocol and AI agent integrations.
• Strong React and TypeScript skills; front-end and UI focus.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP) and Kubernetes; SRE mindset.
