Senior Staff R&D Software Engineer, Fivetran AI

📋 Description

• Research AI techniques; set Fivetran AI roadmap.
• Prototype ideas quickly; ship production features.
• Wear multiple hats: backend, frontend, SRE, QA.
• Define technical direction across Fivetran AI and collaborating teams.
• Build and maintain backend/frontend systems for the AI product.
• Own production reliability; on-call and incident response.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of programming in Python and/or Java; move between backend and frontend.
• Trusted expert beyond your dept; influence across teams.
• Breadth in reading AI/ML research and turning findings into prototypes and production.
• Full-stack capability: research, backend, frontend, SRE, QA as needed.
• Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks) and data connectors.
• Experience using coding agents or similar AI tooling to speed up engineering work.
