Senior Staff Software Engineer, Payments

📋 Description

• Define and drive multi-quarter Payments strategy (rails, orchestration, transfers) for growth.
• Architect core Payments platform (rails, routing, funds-flow) for high availability and low latency.
• Lead end-to-end design and rollout of cross-team initiatives (rails, migrations, resiliency).
• Set and enforce technical standards for financial correctness (idempotency, reconciliation, auditability).
• Partner with FinHub, Payments Risk, Regulatory Platform, and Product on risk, compliance, and UX.
• Provide deep mentorship to senior engineers across Payments pods to raise design quality.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Deep money-movement experience (PSPs, ISO 20022, routing, double-entry).
• Backend programming in Python, Go, Java and cloud-native architecture.
• Proven track record designing highly available, high-performance systems.
• Ability to anticipate scaling bottlenecks and take proactive measures.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
