Senior / Staff SWE - Backend (Grader)

📋 Description

• Own the backend architecture and technical direction of Grader, a rapidly scaling, customer-facing
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, process, and enrich third-party
• Build and operate highly reliable backend services that power real-time restaurant scoring systems
• Optimize system performance, focusing on latency, availability, throughput, scalability, and
• Design, implement, and maintain event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing systems, and
• Develop and evolve backend abstractions, service boundaries, and architectural patterns to support

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in backend engineering, platform engineering, or software
• Proven experience owning and scaling mission-critical backend systems used by external customers.
• Previous experience in product-driven technology companies, particularly within B2C or B2B2C
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, or equivalent backend programming languages.
• Solid experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures
