Senior Structural Analyst

📋 Description

• Perform trade studies and derive requirements for vehicle configuration
• Complete hand calculations and FEM analysis of primary and secondary structures
• Develop company standards for model creation, strength checks, and reports
• Compile stress analysis docs to support release of drawings and docs
• Mentor designers and junior analysts in stress, stability, and fracture analysis
• Provide guidance on design concepts balancing risk, cost, and performance

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with aircraft/spacecraft structures
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; MS preferred
• Experience with stress, fatigue, and/or damage tolerance analysis
• Hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis experience
• Proficient in Nastran, Optistruct, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna
• Strong FEM modeling techniques and verification methods
