Senior Systems Engineer

📋 Description

• Define and decompose system CONOPS into vehicle/subsystem/component requirements.
• Perform subsystem and system analyses to drive design definition and verification.
• Organize, lead, and document trade studies.
• Develop verification and test plans for system/subsystem/component.
• Analyze lab, production, and on orbit test data.
• Lead and participate in anomaly and failure investigations.
• Automate recurring analysis and verification activities.
• Derive software requirements and user stories from CONOPS and specs.
• Communicate technical results and trades to peers and stakeholders.
• Define, track, and manage KPPs, KPIs, and technical performance measures.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Aerospace/Systems/CS/Electrical preferred).
• Minimum 5 years experience in Aerospace or Defense.
• Strong understanding of spacecraft system and subsystem behaviors.
• Demonstrated breadth across spacecraft subsystems.
• Ability to produce satellite budgets and analyses (power, mass, reliability).
• Experience with requirements management tools and practices.
• MATLAB and Python or similar data analysis tools.
• Experience creating SE artifacts ICDs, internal block diagrams, activity diagrams, state machines.
• Strong ownership and urgency.
• MBSE tools and SysML experience.
• STK experience.
• Requirements tracking tools DOORS Jama.
• Jira, Confluence, GitLab experience.
• Astrodynamics and space environment understanding.
• Scaled Agile or Agile framework experience.
