Senior Thermal Engineer

📋 Description

• Be a founding member of the spacecraft systems team from design to in-orbit validation.
• Lead thermal design and optimization of the satellite platform and bus/payload interfaces.
• Drive system‑level thermal design and simulation for the next‑gen satellite.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and specify qualification tests.
• Own thermal hardware concepts, supplier selection, and design validation.
• Support assembly, integration, and test activities and ensure qualification readiness.

🎯 Requirements

• Expert spacecraft thermal design, analysis, and optimization across concept to integration.
• Material science expertise for space environment, including outgassing and thermal cycling.
• Experience with TVAC and thermal balance testing and pre‑launch campaigns.
• Proven ability to maintain precise thermal stability.
• Hands‑on thermal hardware experience (heat pipes, MLI, active control).
• Knowledge of Systema‑Thermica, ESATAN, Thermal Desktop, or Simcenter 3D.
