Senior Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop and validate vehicle dynamics models for Waymo platforms using C++ and multi-domain tools
• Integrate dynamics models into the Waymo Simulator and workflows
• Plan and execute test campaigns to characterize vehicle dynamics across Waymo platforms
• Perform sim-based analyses supporting all development phases from requirements to verification
• Assist partner teams in applying vehicle dynamics simulations to their use cases

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience
• At least 5 years of experience modeling and simulating vehicle dynamics
• Strong tire modeling knowledge (analytic and semi-empirical/Magic Formula)
• Strong chassis dynamics modeling knowledge (low- and high-fidelity multibody)
• Understanding of vehicle safety systems (ABS, ESC, traction control)
• Experience with commercial vehicle dynamics tools (Simscape, Maplesim, CarMaker, Carsim, Adams)
