Sheet Metal Helper

📋 Description

• Assist journeymen and foremen with ductwork layout, fabrication, installation
• Operate shop tools (shears, benders, rollers, Pittsburgh/snap locks) under supervision
• Stage and load fabricated materials for transport to job sites
• Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and shop tickets
• Keep work areas clean; enforce PPE and safety protocols
• Support field crews with material handling and tool management

• Willingness to learn sheet metal trade and commit to a long-term career path
• Basic mechanical aptitude — comfortable working with tools and hands-on tasks
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work in varying conditions
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Preferred: Some prior construction, fabrication, or trades experience
