Software Developer II

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, maintain backend software processors for real-time weather data.
• Collaborate with engineers, data ops, PMs, and stakeholders to design solutions.
• Develop new processing capabilities and support new weather data providers.
• Design and implement database schemas and SQL objects for backend processing apps.
• Build software that is reliable, maintainable, observable, and deployed in production.
• Troubleshoot defects, production issues, and incidents affecting data processing systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years designing and developing backend services.
• Experience with Scala or Java, with functional programming concepts.
• Experience deploying apps in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with relational databases, schema design, and SQL.
• Experience processing XML/JSON, RESTful APIs, and regex.
