Software Development Engineer - AI Focus

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and operate production-grade Java microservices using Java 21 or higher and Spring
• Partner with a core group of internal SMEs and an external vendor to decompose legacy Java and SQL
• Serve as one of the long-term owners of the resulting domain service(s) once the vendor engagement
• Bring fresh, modern engineering perspective to legacy code and processes, challenging established
• Develop and maintain secure RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and API-first design practices.
• Implement event-driven integrations using Azure Service Bus or comparable messaging platforms.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial hands-on experience
• Strong experience with Java 21 or higher and modern Java development practices.
• Strong hands-on experience using AI-assisted software engineering tools or coding agents
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and REST API development.
• Experience modernizing or migrating monolithic applications to microservices or cloud-native
