Software Development Engineer - Mobile & Commerce (Apprentice)

📋 Description

• Join an engineering team with a defined charter and contribute to production-facing software
• Design and implement domain services using Go, protobuf, and ConnectRPC from decisions to
• Work on ledger and accounting systems, commerce-event processing, journals, and chart-of-accounts
• Contribute to payment infrastructure, provider integrations, idempotency, retries, and replay
• Collaborate on document-rendering systems and cross-runtime testing (Go, JavaScript, Dart).
• Build and ship production-quality software with increasing ownership and responsibilities.

🎯 Requirements

• Completed a term in an open-source mentorship or contribution programme with merged/reviewed
• Strong Go skills or depth in another systems language with ability to learn quickly.
• Understanding of distributed-systems basics: idempotency, retries, consistency, failure scenarios.
• Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes; hands-on experience diagnosing deployment issues.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and participate in code reviews/design discussions.
• Track record of contributing to a single project over months; strong collaboration and
