Software Engineer, Agent - Healthcare Integrations

📋 Description

• Design and build core healthcare integration primitives for Sierra agents.
• Own production integrations with Epic, athenahealth, Oracle Health, HL7, FHIR.
• Build reusable platform capabilities for data access, auth, observability, testing, and deployment.
• Partner with Agent Engineers to design healthcare workflows (scheduling, intake, CRM updates).
• Serve as SME with EHR, IT, security, and ops teams to translate requirements.
• Define standards for safe healthcare agent actions, including validation and PHI safeguards.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering, at or above Senior level.
• Deep experience shipping healthcare integrations under HIPAA, security, and privacy.
• Fluency with FHIR, HL7, OAuth/SMART-style authorization, and EHR APIs.
• Experience integrating Epic, athenahealth, Oracle Health, and MEDITECH.
• Strong product and platform judgment for reusable primitives vs customer-specific solutions.
• Comfort partnering with customers and remaining hands-on in code.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
