Software Engineer, AI Enablement

📋 Description

• Define internal AI-enablement priorities and roadmap with leadership.
• Collaborate on Aperture by Tailscale, the internal AI gateway.
• Build and iterate internal tools and workflows for coding agents.
• Evaluate AI models and tools; advise on adoption decisions.
• Partner with engineering and other teams to apply AI to daily work.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Pi).
• Experience building internal tools or developer automation.
• Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy.
• Comfort with ambiguity and self-directed prioritization in a small team.
• Product or systems thinking; identify high-leverage opportunities.
