Software Engineer, Autonomy - Calibration, Mapping & Localization

📋 Description

• Implement, tune, and test mapping, localization, and sensor calibration algorithms for autonomous
• Contribute to tooling and metrics for performance validation and continuous testing frameworks.
• Debug and analyze algorithm performance with real-world and simulated sensor data; iterate from
• Balance tasks, code reviews, and learning to meet milestones in a fast-paced startup environment.

🎯 Requirements

• BS or MS in robotics, CS, EE, or related field (MS a plus).
• Strong foundation in probability, linear algebra, 3D geometry, coordinate transforms.
• Familiarity with matrix factorization and Lie groups, or willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with 3D LiDAR mapping/localization concepts (LOAM, GICP, FastLIO, bundle-adjustment).
• Exposure to EKFs or nonlinear optimization libraries (GTSAM, G2O, Ceres-Solver).
• 2–4 years building robotics or autonomous vehicle software (including internships/projects).
