Software Engineer, Backend

📋 Description

• Backend development and infrastructure at scale on Seesaw Core Systems
• Develop Python HTTP backend (Tornado) with data in Dynamo, Elasticsearch, Redis
• Contribute to AWS provisioning via infrastructure-as-code
• Drive distributed systems decisions; own work from inception to production
• Improve observability, tooling, security, and reliability of the platform
• Collaborate with senior engineers, PMs, and stakeholders on roadmaps

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years backend experience; systems-thinking-focused
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts
• Familiarity with AWS core services (EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, ECS/EKS) or similar
• Proficient with CI/CD, preferably GitHub Actions
• Self-starter with independent, proactive work style
• Experience owning infra for high-scale software (billions of requests/month)
