Software Engineer, Connect Tax Reporting

📋 Description

• Build and operate tax reporting features across UX, APIs, services, and data workflows.
• Take projects from discovery through launch with design and implementation.
• Build scalable, reliable, secure software with tests and runbooks.
• Improve tax reporting workflows through automation and operational tooling.
• Review code and collaborate to improve implementation quality.
• Monitor production systems and incident response to improve reliability.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining production software in Ruby, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience delivering software projects from problem definition through launch.
• Ability to make technical decisions and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
• Experience debugging and operating production systems.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, data pipelines, or user-facing features.
• Experience with distributed systems, asynchronous processing, large-scale data workflows.
• Experience with financial, compliance, reporting, or data integrity matters.
