Software Engineer (Contract)

📋 Description

• Build, modify, and maintain features using Ruby on Rails and React, following established
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that aligns with existing architectural
• Maintain RESTful APIs and update PostgreSQL data models to support evolving feature needs
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests (e.g., RSpec, Jest) to ensure feature stability
• Collaborate closely with other engineers through code reviews, standups, and technical discussions
• Participate in a shared support rotation during working hours, diagnosing and resolving issues to

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years experience in contributing production code (required)
• Experience contributing to projects, helping drive them to completion (required)
• Experience with Ruby, C#, Java, or Python (Ruby preferred)
• Direct experience with AI and agentic software development (Claude code, Codex, etc)
• Proficient understanding of Javascript or Typescript fundamentals, including React
• Experience working in the full stack
