Software Engineer - Data & Sensors

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain device software across the episode lifecycle.
• Integrate and synchronize sensor streams into aligned trajectories.
• Define data contracts between UMI devices and the AI team.
• Build data validation tooling for dropped frames, jitter, and faults.
• Own operator-facing device software: status indicators, start/stop controls, retries.
• Support field data collection and validate data quality in situ.

🎯 Requirements

• Embedded or device-level software experience in robotics or sensing.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python for real-time sensor drivers and data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of multi-modal sensor synchronization and timing.
• Familiarity with camera pipelines and timing accuracy.
• Strong data quality instincts; avoid shipping misaligned streams.
• Proven ability to debug on real hardware with logs and profilers.
