📋 Description

• Own major projects in our dual execution stack for local/cloud DuckDB
• Help build a cloud platform that dynamically assigns resources
• Lead cross-functional work to keep UX coherent end to end
• Push state-of-the-art in embedded DB performance and distributed execution
• Mentor teammates and share DuckDB expertise via docs
• Collaborate with support and DuckDB Labs to improve APIs

🎯 Requirements

• Fluent in backend languages (C++, Rust, Java, etc.)
• Strong foundation in query engines, execution plans, indexing, performance
• Hands-on DuckDB experience a plus; cloud infra and low-latency distributed systems
• Ability to scope/lead cross-functional projects
• Clear thinking, careful design, and tradeoff awareness
• Mentoring peers and collaborative, high-agency mindset
