Software Engineer (Developer Platform)

📋 Description

• Improve the core developer workflow: build, test, and validate changes.
• Contribute to shared engineering foundations: libraries, frameworks, build patterns.
• Make CI faster and more reliable: improve feedback loops for development.
• Create leverage for product engineers: build tools, docs, automation.
• Apply AI to real engineering problems: use Cursor, Claude, and agent workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software fundamentals in Scala, Java, Kotlin, or similar; read/modify service code.
• Experience with build systems, CI, or test infra; Bazel, SBT, Maven, Gradle, GitHub Actions.
• Debug complex build, test, and developer workflow failures; provide fixes and automation.
• Product-minded approach to developer experience; usability and adoption focus.
• Comfortable using AI tools like Cursor, Claude for real engineering work.
• Good judgment on AI-assisted automation; plan and guardrails.
