Software Engineer, Distributed Systems - Trust & Safety

📋 Description

• Own detection and prevention for fraud, abuse, spam, and malicious content
• Design scalable trust infra: rate limiting, content scanning, anomaly detection
• Architect distributed systems, APIs, and high-volume event pipelines
• Evolve core data model and storage for trust and safety
• Build tools for internal teams to investigate suspicious activity
• Leverage AI/LLM-based detection to stay ahead of AI abuse

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years backend experience building scalable, high-traffic systems
• Strong systems thinking and experience building web APIs
• Proficiency in Node.js or Python and databases (PostgreSQL, Redis)
• Experience with event streaming systems (Redis, Kafka) and high-volume pipelines
• Hands-on experience implementing trust features like rate limiting, content detection, and fraud prevention
• Track record shipping high-quality, complex apps under tight timelines
