Software Engineer I, Canada and Emerging Markets (Fullstack)

📋 Description

• Hybrid role: in-office 1x per week in Toronto.
• Full-stack work: Android (Kotlin), backend (Kotlin/Java), frontend (React/TypeScript).
• Build features across the platform, including RESTful services and POS integration.
• Contribute in code reviews, ship features in first sprint, and learn Toast systems.
• Write automated tests and maintain code quality for reliability.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and QA; document work in Jira/Confluence.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge in Kotlin, Java, or Python (backend).
• Frontend exposure: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript; React familiarity.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and frontend-backend communication.
• Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases (SQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows (PRs, code reviews) in an Agile environment.
