Software Engineer II

📋 Description

• Provides support to Engineering with high attention to detail
• Designs, builds, and maintains Python services and APIs
• Works on systems critical to current and future operations
• Debugs production issues across services and stack levels
• Improves engineering standards, tooling, and processes
• Participates in testing through review, witnessing, and certification
• Evaluates codes for validity, structure, and OS compatibility
• Maintains knowledge of current tech and practices through ongoing learning

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of production Python software experience
• Strong Python fundamentals: OOP, error handling, testing, debugging, packaging
• Strong Linux fundamentals and command-line proficiency
• Database experience: schema inspection, joins, transactions, indexing
• Experience with Git, code reviews, automated tests, and CI/CD
• Proven experience in Scrum/Agile software teams
• Ability to work independently on projects with close supervision
• Familiar with software development tools including version control, builds, debuggers, test frameworks
