Software Engineer II

📋 Description

• Build, test, and deploy scalable backend microservices and RESTful APIs using Java/Kotlin and AWS
• Champion best practices such as quality automated testing and phased rollouts to ensure
• Monitor service health for success and failure, analyze logs and metrics (Datadog/CloudWatch), and
• Collaborate organically with peer engineers, provide design feedback, and participate in code
• Collaborate with PM and UX on the development of new features and products.
• Use AI tooling as a genuine part of your workflow, not an afterthought

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of professional backend software development in Kotlin, Java, or another object-oriented
• Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems in production.
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity to learn restaurant domain workflows, and enthusiasm for
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing efficient SQL
• Familiarity with distributed systems concepts, asynchronous messaging (Kafka, Pulsar, or AWS
• Demonstrate humility, empathy and respectfulness.
