Software Engineer II, Android

📋 Description

• Hands-on design and implementation of Android system applications in Java or Kotlin that power
• Build features with a heavier focus on background services than UI, designed to run reliably on
• Support bring-up of new Toast hardware and OS upgrades by making sure our system apps work as
• Expand our end-to-end automated testing framework using Robot Framework to validate our apps
• Investigate and debug production issues across Toast's device fleet.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Hardware, QA, and other Software teams to build scalable

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of Android application development experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in a modern object-oriented programming language such as Java or Kotlin.
• Experience with standard Android architecture patterns & libraries such as Hilt, AndroidX
• Experience triaging issues with Android tools such as adb and logcat.
• Proficiency with source control and code review tools such as Git, Gerrit, or GitHub.
