Software Engineer II, Messaging Infrastructure

📋 Description

• Own and build features/services used by hundreds of thousands of Klaviyo customers.
• Build scalable, highly available campaign pipelines processing hundreds of millions of messages daily.
• Collaborate with teams across Klaviyo on designs, implementations, and engineering practices.
• Learn new technologies and apply them to evolve our systems.
• Improve experimentation/development processes and mentor other engineers.
• Participate in technical interviews to maintain a high engineering bar.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years in software engineering; led and delivered at least one complex system.
• Experience with large-scale system architecture; adept at tradeoffs and design choices.
• Strong focus on performance and scalability; capable of solving bottlenecks.
• Data-driven mindset; skilled in monitoring and alerting techniques.
• Proven coaching/mentoring experience.
• Thrives in small, autonomous agile teams with ownership and collaboration.
