Software Engineer, Lending

📋 Description

• Independently own and deliver features end-to-end
• Design, develop, refactor and scale backend APIs
• Collaborate with mobile teams to build resilient APIs powering the app
• Work across product and platform seams to scale Lending
• Proactively improve reliability and scalability of our systems
• Grow into owning larger components of the system over time

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years building and operating production software at scale
• Experience with Ruby on Rails (or similar) designing and running APIs
• Strong grasp of relational databases and caching, including safe migrations
• Familiarity with distributed systems fundamentals (async processing, idempotency, retries)
• Commitment to maintainable, well-tested code — improving existing systems
• Excellent cross-functional communication: clarifying requirements and tradeoffs
• Curiosity about how things work with a product mindset for experimentation
