• Design and oversee Tailscale's global Funnel and DERP relay infrastructure.
• Promote automation and ops excellence for scalable, highly available services.
• Provide architectural guidance and troubleshoot complex customer networking issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to advance hosted services and client value.
• Contribute to open-source client code and develop the dataplane.
• Apply security-focused development across networking components.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record in networking software development and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in VPNs, NAT traversal, routing, and IP addressing.
• Experience with distributed systems and global-scale services; SRE/DevOps.
• Go experience is highly desired.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
