Software Engineer - Over-the-Air Updates

📋 Description

• Design and build scalable OTA update platforms for large device fleets.
• Architect secure update delivery pipelines with signing, encryption, and auth.
• Build and maintain cloud-based OTA infra using Docker and orchestration.
• Develop package management for versioning and distribution across devices.
• Create efficient CDNs for fast, reliable updates in constrained networks.
• Monitor OTA campaigns with analytics and real-time device visibility.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of distributed systems development with strong proficiency in C++ and Go.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerization.
• Knowledge of secure deployment: cryptographic signing, cert management, encrypted channels, security best practices.
• Manage packages for devices running embedded Linux and RTOS; efficient deployment strategies.
• Cloud-native development with microservices, API design, and service mesh.
• Nice to have OTA frameworks like Mender, RAUC, SWUpdate.
