Software Engineer - Science Platform (BE) - New York

📋 Description

• Build and evolve data pipelines fetching KPI data from BigQuery across geographies.
• Extend statistical estimation library; implement estimators and optimize large panels.
• Improve Metaflow-based analysis orchestration on Kubernetes.
• Design for reliability with monitoring, alerts, and self-healing pipelines.
• Collaborate with scientists to productionize research with tests and observability.
• Use AI development tools daily to accelerate delivery and explore solutions.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping production software systems.
• Strong Python proficiency; comfortable with pandas, numpy, pytest, poetry.
• Experience with data-intensive applications: large datasets, data pipelines, or ETL.
• Experience with SQL and analytical databases (BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar).
• Cloud-native environments (GCP preferred): deploy, monitor, and operate in production.
• Experience with workflow orchestration frameworks (Metaflow, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
