Software Engineer - Science Platform (BE) - San Francisco

📋 Description

• Build data pipelines fetching KPI data from BigQuery across geographies
• Extend the estimation library; add estimators and improve standard errors
• Improve Metaflow-based orchestration for daily analyses on Kubernetes
• Design reliability: monitoring, alerting, and self-healing for daily pipelines
• Collaborate with scientists to turn research into production-grade code
• Publish analysis results into the API and frontend for customers

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years building and shipping production software systems
• Strong Python; pandas, numpy, pytest, poetry
• Experience with data-intensive apps and ETL pipelines
• SQL and analytical databases (BigQuery, Snowflake) with performant queries
• Cloud-native environments (GCP preferred)
• Workflow frameworks (Metaflow, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect)
