Software Engineer, Trust & Safety

📋 Description

• Own detection and prevention for fraud, abuse, spam, and content
• Design scalable trust infra: rate limiting, content scanning, anomaly detection
• Build tools to empower internal teams to investigate malicious activity
• Investigate and resolve security incidents with limited context
• Partner across Eng/Product to balance security with UX
• Shape Gamma's long-term trust and safety strategy and roadmap
• Leverage AI/LLM-based detection to stay ahead of AI-generated abuse
• Build automated triage and investigation workflows at scale

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years as a software engineer with focus on abuse, spam, or fraud prevention
• Strong systems thinking; experience building highly available web APIs
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and modern web stack
• Hands-on trust features: rate limiting, content detection, fraud prevention
• Experience with event streaming systems (Redis, Kafka, or similar)
• Passion for security, user protection, and solving scale challenges
