Software Engineer (Voice)

📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate services that power inbound/outbound call control, BXML processing
• Contribute to APIs and SDKs (REST, webhooks, SDKs across Node, Python, Java, and others) that
• Work cross-functionally with product managers, senior engineers, and support teams to ship features
• Troubleshoot and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of high-volume, low-latency
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and on-call rotations; write tests and
• Use AI tools effectively across the development lifecycle, holding AI-generated code to the same

🎯 Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally with distributed systems or APIs
• Proficiency in Java (or a comparable statically typed language) and comfort working with REST APIs
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar) and SQL/relational data stores.
• Solid debugging and analytical skills — able to trace issues through multi-service, real-time
• Clear communicator who can collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Eagerness to learn telecom/real-time media concepts (SIP, WebRTC, media streaming) — prior
