Software Engineering Director, Infrared Data Products

📋 Description

• Manage an organization of managers, data scientists, and software engineers.
• Lead ultra-low latency, high-reliability data processing pipeline for FireSat data.
• Identify and drive measurement of metrics to improve image pipeline performance.
• Create long-term technical strategy and roadmaps for infrared/visual imagery products.
• Train and model best software engineering and data science practices.
• Communicate clearly to customers and partner teams about capabilities and roadmap.

🎯 Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in CS, computational math, electrical eng, data science, or related.
• 5 years of software management experience.
• Experience building high-volume, ultra-low latency data pipelines, ideally with CV.
• Experience with geospatial data engineering principles and tooling.
• Expert understanding of software engineering processes (estimation, DevOps, testing).
• Excitement about working in a fast-paced startup environment.
