Software Engineering Manager, Engine UI

📋 Description

• Lead development of core C++ engine UI features powering Roblox UI.
• Drive API proposals to expose UI capabilities to Luau scripting.
• Mentor Senior Engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Partner with developers to realize creative UI visions.
• Ensure high-performance, cross-platform UI for mobile, desktop, consoles.
• Shape the engine UI to support Roblox App and Roblox Studio.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional dev experience with 5+ years in management.
• Strong C++ programming skills; Lua experience a plus.
• Prior leadership or people mgmt experience.
• Deep experience in game engines and UI.
• Design intuitive UI solutions for engineers, designers, and UI authors.
• Systems-level 3D math, pointers, templates, and memory mgmt.
