Software Engineering Manager, Network Security

📋 Description

• Lead Network Security Engineering team across critical initiatives for secure-by-default networking
• Set charter, practices, and priorities; partner with infrastructure networking, cluster, and data
• Design and deploy controls for ingress/egress, segmentation, private connectivity, and mTLS/service
• Build visibility into traffic and boundary drift with automated remediation where safe
• Own security evidence for goals and compliance; communicate risk and tradeoffs to executives
• Hire, grow, and retain senior engineers; shape career development and team practices

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of front line management experience
• Experience leading infrastructure or security engineering teams
• Proven ability to grow engineers into staff/lead roles and manage through reorganizations
• Hands-on network security engineering in cloud/on-prem: VPC design, interconnects, private
• Threat modeling and risk assessment for networked systems; willingness to make tradeoffs
• Experience securing Kubernetes networking at scale or in high-assurance environments
