Software Safety & Mission Assurance Specialist

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain Software Product Assurance strategy.
• Evaluate requirements, design, verification, and readiness for compliance.
• Assess software safety, criticality, reliability, and configuration integrity.
• Review software contributions to system hazards; support STPA, FTA, analyses.
• Assess residual risk and provide independent recommendations for acceptance.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvement; support CAPA.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's in Software, Computer or Aerospace Engineering or related.
• 7+ years in safety-critical software in aerospace, defense, automotive, or medical.
• Experience with SDLC processes and software verification/validation.
• Experience performing software process audits, quality assessments, or assurance.
• Working knowledge of software configuration management and change control.
• Experience in regulated engineering environments.
