Solar Cell Quality Engineer (Starlink)

📋 Description

• Own quality of the solar cell fab and prevent defects reaching space hardware
• Manage inline and offline metrology systems (I-V testers, EL/PL, ellipsometry, microscopy, etc.)
• Define acceptance criteria, reaction plans, and hold/release logic for in-process and end-of-line
• Lead metrology-related quality control, calibration, and data integrity programs
• Collaborate with process/equipment engineering to catch drifts before scrap or escapes
• Partner with reliability engineers to align factory screens with space-qualification needs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ years in chemical engineering, materials science, electrical, physics, or mechanical engineering
• Hands-on experience with PV/metrology tools (I-V, lifetime, EL/PL, 4-point probe, ellipsometry) and
• Experience defining sampling plans, test methods, and acceptance limits with data support
• Proficiency in data analysis (Python, MATLAB, JMP, R) and statistics (SPC, GR&R, DOE basics)
• Ability to work full-time onsite in a production and lab environment
